Gary V performs ‘one last time’ on a grand scale

Gary Valenciano to Hold Final Solo Arena Concert on April 26 and 27

In a surprising announcement, OPM icon Gary Valenciano revealed that his upcoming concert at the Mall of Asia Arena on April 26 and 27 will mark his final big solo arena show. Titled “Pure Energy: One Last Time,” the concert will showcase Valenciano’s electrifying and high-energy performances that he has been known for over the past four decades.

The decision to make this his last major concert came after Valenciano faced health challenges in 2019, including a heart bypass and a kidney cancer diagnosis (he is now cancer-free). Despite this, Valenciano emphasized that his decision was not due to health reasons or retirement but rather a transition to explore other opportunities on and off stage.

Throughout his illustrious career, Valenciano has touched the lives of many through his music and performances. Looking back on his four-decade journey in the industry, he described himself as “blessed” and expressed gratitude for the impact his music has had on others.

As he gears up for his final arena show, Valenciano remains optimistic about the future, with plans to star in a musical, return to acting, and score a film. While the upcoming concert may mark the end of one chapter, Valenciano’s fans can rest assured that there are more exciting projects and performances to come in the years ahead.
