In a thrilling display of talent, young tennis players Ella Mhae Paglalunan, Avegail Joy Ansay, and France Dilao emerged victorious in the Iñigo Resorts Center National Junior Tennis Championships held in Lucena City over the weekend.
Paglalunan showcased her skills by winning both the girls’ 12-and-under and 18-and-under categories. She defeated tough opponents such as Cielo Gonzales and Isabel Ataiza on her way to claiming the titles. Ansay, on the other hand, matched Paglalunan’s success by clinching victories in the girls’ 16-and-under and doubles categories.
In the boys’ division, Dilao shined by conquering both the 16-and-under and 18-and-under categories. The competition, sanctioned by Philta, PPS-NTC, and UTR, was supported by Philta Regional R-4A vice president Gary Alcala.
The impressive performances of these young athletes left spectators in awe and highlighted the bright future of Philippine tennis.
