Gilas women making a strong debut at FIBA 3×3 Asia Cup



The Gilas Pilipinas women’s team had an impressive start at the 2024 FIBA 3×3 Asia Cup, remaining undefeated on the first day of the competition held at the Singapore Sports Hub.

The quartet of Mikka Cacho, Kaye Pingol, Jhazmin Joson, and Camille Clarin showcased their skills as they dominated Tahiti with a final score of 21-3. Joson led the team with 10 points, including eight points from beyond the arc, while Cacho contributed seven points.

In their match against Maldives later in the day, Cacho and Pingol both scored eight points to lead the Philippines to victory. The team started strong and maintained their lead throughout the game, ultimately winning with a score of 19-11.

With these back-to-back wins, the Gilas women’s team will be facing Kazakhstan in their next game on Thursday.
