Chantal Schmidt’s Triumph Over Adversity at Miss Eco International 2024

In a recent international beauty pageant held in Cairo, Egypt, the Philippines’ representative, Chantal Elise Schmidt, faced numerous challenges throughout the competition. Despite these obstacles, she emerged as the first runner-up to the grand winner from Ukraine, Angelina Usanova. Chantal also received accolades for Best National Costume and Best in Evening Gown.

During a press conference, Chantal recounted the difficulties she encountered, including being stranded in Dubai for 20 hours due to heavy rains and flooding. She shared how she and other contestants had to sleep on the floor at the airport and faced various challenges before finally reaching their destination.

Additionally, Chantal fell ill during the competition and had to be admitted to a hospital. Despite the setbacks, she remained determined and found support from her mentor Gerry Diaz and fellow contestants turned friends.

Chantal expressed gratitude to Miss Japan, Miss Taiwan, Miss Belgium, and others who helped her overcome the ordeal. She also thanked Miss Belgium Luna De Vlam for her support and friendship during the competition.

Reflecting on her journey, Chantal emphasized the importance of perseverance and the support she received from her friends and supporters. She expressed appreciation for everyone who stood by her throughout her pageant experience.
