Choco Mucho Secures Semifinal Berth in Premier Volleyball League All-Filipino Conference

In an intense showdown at the Philsports Arena in Pasig City, Choco Mucho displayed remarkable composure as they clinched a nail-biting victory against PLDT with a final score of 25-20, 23-25, 18-25, 25-17, 15-12 on Thursday night, Nov. 23. This win secured Choco Mucho a spot in the semifinals of the Premier Volleyball League All-Filipino Conference.

The game was characterized by a fierce battle, with a 5-0 lead by PLDT in the final set, and Choco Mucho’s ability to stay resilient under pressure. Choco Mucho’s victory was their eighth consecutive win in nine games, solidifying their hold on the second spot and propelling Creamline into the next phase, following their own eighth consecutive victory.

Sisi Rondina, an essential player for Choco Mucho, contributed significantly to their success with an impressive 20 points, including 19 kills. Meanwhile, Maddy Madayag showcased an all-around game with 13 attacks, three blocks, and two aces, racking up a total of 18 points.

PLDT, despite their early lead, was unable to maintain momentum, with Choco Mucho mounting a comeback to claim the victory at the crucial moment. Savannah Davison of PLDT dominated the court with 31 points, but it was not enough to fend off Choco Mucho’s relentless performance.

This victory marks a significant milestone for Choco Mucho as they continue to carve their path in the Premier Volleyball League All-Filipino Conference. The team’s stellar performance is a testament to their talent and determination, setting the stage for an exciting semifinal showdown.
