Develop a strong network of support

A former beauty queen turned actress, Rabiya Mateo, has been offering advice to aspiring pageant contestants, emphasizing the importance of having a strong support system. Mateo, who achieved success in the entertainment industry after her pageant journey, shared her insights during a media event where she was introduced as the newest face of Mags Clothing.

She stressed the significance of having a solid support group, including a glam team and financial assistance, for contestants going through one of the most vulnerable moments of their lives. Mateo, who won the Miss Universe Philippines crown in 2020, encouraged women, not just pageant hopefuls, to educate themselves as knowledge is power.

Despite calls for her to return to the pageant scene, Mateo announced that she has moved on from that chapter in her life and is content with her showbiz opportunities. She expressed relief at not having to compete in the recently concluded Miss Universe Philippines pageant, acknowledging the tough competition and the potential for fresh faces to win.

Currently appearing in GMA shows “TiktoClock” and “Makiling,” Mateo is focusing on her blossoming career in the entertainment industry.
