Mayor Eric Olivarez and Congressman Edwin Olivarez of Parañaque City recently led the distribution of 252 smart television units to public schools in the city. These televisions will be used by students for their studies.

The distribution ceremony took place at the Parañaque Elementary School Central Gymnasium in Barangay San Dionisio. The event included a short program organized by the Department of Education Schools Division Office, headed by Schools Division Superintendent Dr. Nerissa A. Losaria. The program served as both a celebration of Mayor Eric’s birthday and a way to express gratitude for his generous donation.

During the ceremony, elementary students showcased their dancing skills as they performed to the song “Kiss Me, Kiss Me.” Mayor Eric and his brother, Congressman Edwin Olivarez, joined them in the dance.

According to Mayor Olivarez, the 252 smart televisions distributed to public schools included 150 units of 70-inch Samsung televisions and 102 units of 70-inch Sharp televisions. These televisions will be utilized by elementary and high school students, providing them with access to audio-visual presentations and facilitating student-centered learning. The mayor emphasized the importance of technology in allowing students to actively participate in school lectures and other activities.

Mayor Olivarez expressed his gratitude to the public school teachers, principals, supervisors, and non-teaching personnel for their dedication to maintaining the cleanliness of the schools and guiding and supporting the students.

The distribution of these smart televisions is expected to enhance the educational experience of the students in Parañaque City, providing them with new opportunities for learning and engagement.
