Disney+ to Premiere New Korean Drama Starring Nam Joo-hyuk in November

November will bring an exciting addition to Disney+ as it premieres a new Korean drama starring actor Nam Joo-hyuk. The drama, titled “Vigilante,” is based on a popular webtoon of the same name and will be available as an eight-part series on the streaming platform.

Nam Joo-hyuk, known for his roles in “Start-Up” and “Twenty Five Twenty-One,” will play the character Kim Jiyong in “Vigilante.” The story revolves around Jiyong seeking revenge as the child of a woman who was brutally beaten to death by a criminal who received a light sentence.

Filled with a thirst for justice, Jiyong grows up with a determination to take matters into his own hands. He becomes a star student at the police academy, using his martial arts skills and academic knowledge to pursue non-repentant repeat offenders. However, Jiyong’s tactics draw the attention of the media, turning his endeavors into a cat and mouse game as he continues to pursue criminals while avoiding capture.

Joining Nam Joo-hyuk in the cast are Yoo Jitae as Jo Heon, a relentless detective committed to stopping the vigilante at all costs, Lee Junhyuk as Cho Kangok, and Kim Sojin as Choi Miryeo, a broadcaster who exposes the Vigilante’s actions.

“Vigilante” will debut on November 8, with the premiere featuring two episodes. This highly anticipated drama adds to Disney+’s collection of award-winning Korean content, including “Moving,” which follows a group of South Korean spies protecting super powered children from malicious government agencies, and “The Worst of Evil,” a fast-paced crime thriller that sees a police officer infiltrating a dangerous gang.

Fans of Korean dramas and Nam Joo-hyuk can look forward to this thrilling new series exclusively on Disney+ this November.
