UE Appeals UAAP Decision to Suspend Lady Warriors Coach, Who Asks for Opportunity to Present Side

MANILA, Philippines — UE Lady Warriors head coach Jerry Yee is set to appeal the UAAP board’s decision to suspend him for the remainder of UAAP Season 86. The suspension came just hours before the Lady Warriors’ game against the Adamson Lady Falcons.

Yee expressed his intention to file the appeal on Monday, citing that the decision was given on Friday afternoon, leaving no time for him to appeal immediately. Assistant coach Obet Vital will be taking charge in Yee’s absence.

When asked about his optimism in returning before the season ends, Yee emphasized that he simply wants to share his side of the story. He also criticized the lack of direct communication from the league regarding his suspension.

As of now, Yee is prohibited from being inside the playing venue during games. The Lady Warriors currently hold a 1-3 record in UAAP Season 86.
