Taylor Swift and Actors Blake Lively and Ryan Reynolds Attend NFL Game Together
Pop superstar Taylor Swift was spotted at MetLife Stadium outside of New York City on Sunday, showing her support for rumored beau NFL star Travis Kelce as his team, the Kansas City Chiefs, defeated the New York Jets. Swift arrived at the stadium alongside actors Blake Lively, Ryan Reynolds, and Hugh Jackman, wearing crystal-studded denim shorts and a long-sleeved black shirt.
Swift, 33, was seen in a luxury suite, where she was caught on camera sticking out her tongue playfully. The night before the game, she was also seen dining in New York City with Brittany Mahomes, the wife of Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes, according to InStyle.
This is not the first time Swift has shown her support for Kelce and the Chiefs. Last weekend, she attended the Chiefs’ home game against the Chicago Bears, sitting in a luxury box alongside Kelce’s mother. Swift, sporting a red and white Chiefs jacket, cheered enthusiastically as Kelce caught a touchdown pass.
Although Kelce had a quieter game against the Jets, Swift was seen celebrating his teammate Isiah Pacheco’s touchdown run. The Kelce brothers had previously fueled speculation of a romance between Travis and Swift in podcast comments, but both have been tight-lipped about their relationship.
Swift’s involvement with Kelce has also brought him a new set of fans. After reports of their rumored romance, Kelce’s jersey sales reportedly climbed over 400 percent, and his number of Instagram followers skyrocketed. Furthermore, ticket prices for Sunday’s game saw a spike in response to reports of Swift’s attendance.
The NFL embraced the celebrity presence, posting pictures of Swift and her friends on its official channels. Broadcaster NBC also aired a Swift-themed ad for the game, featuring her hit song “Welcome to New York.” Some fans on social media poked fun at NBC for continuously showing shots of Swift and her friends during the game.
While Swift takes a break from her international tour, her performances will resume in November and continue into next year. Additionally, a concert documentary titled “Taylor Swift: The Eras Tour” is set for release on October 13.
