Princess Revilla Takes a Break from Show Business to Focus on Family and Philanthropy
Princess Revilla, a well-known figure in the Philippines entertainment industry, has temporarily stepped away from the spotlight to prioritize her family’s well-being and to focus on her philanthropic efforts. Princess has established two charitable institutions, named after herself and her mother, with the full support of her siblings, Senator Ramon “Bong” Revilla Jr. and Strike Revilla.
In 1998, Princess founded the Azucena Martel Bautista Memorial Foundation in honor of her mother, aiming to continue her parents’ philanthropic legacy.
In a recent meeting with the press in Taguig City, Princess expressed her inspiration behind the foundations, stating, “The greatest kindness you can do to the least of our fellow is by helping them to develop their lives and livelihood.” She added, “Our mission is to provide essential resources, education, and support to poor communities, fostering the journey towards self-sufficiency and a brighter future.”
Princess hopes that by continuing her parents’ charitable deeds, she can inspire others to join her cause and uphold her family’s legacy of empathy and compassion towards the poor.
She also reflected on the values and lessons instilled by her parents, emphasizing the significance of hard work and unity. Princess shared that her guiding light in life has been the boundless love and unwavering support her family offers.
As a graduate of Bachelor of Science in biology at the De La Salle University-Dasmarinas, Princess has instilled the same values and discipline she learned from her parents in her three children, who have ventured into the world of business and public service.
Princess is dedicated to the eradication of poverty and the cultivation of a better quality of life. She also engages in various civic and philanthropic activities through her foundation, the Princess Revilla Foundation, with a focus on nurturing the foundation and expanding its services to those who need them the most.
Through her charity work, Princess aims to inspire and empower individuals by demonstrating the strength of being kind and compassionate. Recently, the Princess Revilla Foundation, Inc. spread joy among 400 children from three to 12 years old during gift-giving and mass-feeding activities in Bacoor City.
The foundation has also undertaken relief operations in disaster areas, sponsored medical and dental missions, provided education assistance, granted scholarships to poor students, and more.
Despite her family’s well-known status, Princess remains dedicated to selfless and voluntary charitable work, without any expectation of material gain. She finds contentment and joy in extending a helping hand to the most vulnerable members of society, and she continues to embrace a modest and humble approach to her philanthropic efforts.
