Red-hot NorthPort extends winning streak with victory over Talk ‘N Text

Manila, Philippines — NorthPort showed no signs of rust as they dominated Talk ‘N Text with a 112-96 victory in the PBA Philippine Cup at the Smart-Araneta Coliseum. The Batang Pier’s impressive performance allowed them to secure their fourth straight win.

NorthPort started strong with a 32-18 lead and never looked back, maintaining their momentum throughout the game. Despite a break due to the All-Star Weekend in Bacolod and the observance of Holy Week, NorthPort displayed a cohesive and determined effort on the court.

Arvin Tolentino led the charge for NorthPort with 29 points, 22 of which came in the first half. JM Calma and Joshua Munzon also made significant contributions with 22 and 14 points, respectively.

Coach Bonnie Tan praised the team’s energy and enthusiasm, especially after the break. He highlighted the hunger and competitive spirit of the young players on the team, emphasizing their collective effort in securing the win.

With this victory, NorthPort improved their record to 4-1, tying with NLEX for second place in the PBA Philippine Cup standings. The team’s youthful roster proved to be a formidable force on the court, showcasing their potential and determination to succeed in the league.
