Meralco player Black determined to return despite ACL injury



A professional basketball player from Meralco Bolts, Aaron Black, is determined to make a strong comeback on the court after suffering an ACL tear. The injury occurred during a recent game against the Magnolia Hotshots, which Meralco won with a score of 74-51. The team confirmed that the 27-year-old guard will be sidelined due to the injury.

Black expressed his determination to improve in an Instagram post, stating, “I will be back stronger from this.” The Bolts also showed their support for Black, emphasizing their full backing as he goes through the recovery process.

In the current conference, Black has been averaging 11.4 points, 4.6 rebounds, and 3.6 assists per game. Meralco holds a record of 5-5 and will be facing San Miguel in their final game of the elimination round next Saturday. The team is currently standing at seventh place, tied with Rain or Shine Elasto Painters and Terrafirma Dyip, and all three teams are one game ahead of NorthPort.
