‘a lengthy series’

In a thrilling Game 1 of the PBA Philippine Cup semifinals, Ginebra emerged victorious over Meralco with a score of 92-88. Coach Tim Cone emphasized the importance of not getting too comfortable with just one win, stating that there are still many games ahead in the series.

The two teams, San Miguel Beer and Ginebra, are set to face off again in Game 2 at the MOA Arena. Ginebra will be looking to secure a 2-0 lead in the best-of-seven series, while Meralco aims to bounce back and even the score.

Meanwhile, defending champion San Miguel Beer will also be playing Game 2 against Rain or Shine in the Final Four. Coach Cone acknowledged the challenges presented by Meralco, particularly their new system under coach Nenad Vucinic.

Veteran guard Stanley Pringle delivered an impressive performance for Ginebra, scoring 22 points in the game. With contributions from rookie Ralph Cu and other key players, Ginebra is looking to maintain their momentum in the series.
