March marks the start of the 7s Super League football season



The much-anticipated inaugural 7s Super League is set to kick off on March 10 at the McKinley Stadium in Taguig City.

Anton del Rosario, CEO and founder of 7×7 Football Philippines, introduced the league in a press conference at Mansion Sports Bar in Makati on Thursday, along with Ethan Lee, 7×7 Philippines executive director, and Melissa Henson, AIA Philippines chief marketing officer.

The league promises to redefine football in the country with its unique seven-a-side format, offering a fast-paced and dynamic style of play on a compact field. Matches are expected to be high-scoring and action-packed, providing an exhilarating experience for fans.

The debut season of the 7s Super League will feature elite teams with top-tier football talents from various cities across Metro Manila. Participating teams include the Alabang South Supers, BGC Soldiers, Pampanga Strikers, Parañaque Super Nets, Quezon City Heroes, Siniloan GOM Blues, and Pasig City Pirates.

With a mix of local and international players, the 7s Super League aims to add a global dimension to the competition and offer fans exciting matchups and diverse playing styles. This is set to contribute to the rich tapestry of football in the Philippines.
