KmmunityPH from Globe revolutionizes fan culture; joins forces with fan groups

Globe’s KmmunityPH Actively Engages 264,000 Fans in the Thriving K-Culture Community in the Philippines

This year, Globe’s 264,000-strong KmmunityPH has significantly increased engagement with the thriving K-culture community in the Philippines. The KmmunityPH has revolutionized the “stanning” or obsessive fan experience by fostering meaningful collaborations with some of the country’s most ardent K-pop and K-drama fan groups.

Abigail Mariano, Korean Subcultures manager at Globe, stated, “Our vision at Globe has always been to uplift and empower. Through KmmunityPH, we are bridging dreams, passions, and opportunities. We support fans in their next level of stanning, providing them with platforms and resources to bring their dreams and fan projects to life. We want KmmunityPH to be a safe, nurturing environment for individuals who want to take their Hallyu passion further.”

Throughout the year, KmmunityPH has supported various fan events, celebrations, and fan gatherings, including BLACKPINK PH’s co-created experience during the BORN PINK concert, BTS PH’s celebration of the Hobiuary Project and BTS 10th Anniversary, and ONCE HQ’s Social Take Over for TWICE’s music promotion. The community has also supported events such as “NEVER LOST” of EXO’s Kim Jongdae, and TWICE x ONCE 8th Anniversary.

KmmunityPH is also bringing all fan groups together for the “K-leidoscope” event on Nov. 25-26 at the GCreator House (BGC) and Baked Studios (Makati) to meet and stan with fellow fans. Additionally, from Nov. 14 to Dec. 6 at the Globe Creator House, there will be weekly dance classes featuring K-pop, aiming to foster deeper connections among fans and to celebrate K-culture.

In partnership with BENCH, Globe’s KmmunityPH will grant fans the unparalleled experience of meeting idols such as ITZY, Wi Ha-jun, Kim Seon-ho, and Ahn Hyo-seop. The community has also teamed up with Viu Philippines for exclusive interview content with Kim Bum, available in Nov. 15 on KmmunityPH’s Facebook Group.

Launched in 2019, KmmunityPH has evolved into a significant multi-channel community for enthusiasts of all things Korean. Globe’s strategic foray into the expansive world of Total Korean Subculture has yielded positive results, effectively connecting and re-engaging the K stands and the youth with an ecosystem tailored to their unique interests and passions.

Ultimately, KmmunityPH stands as a testament to Globe’s vision of empowering fans, enriching their stanning journey, and creating a nurturing space for those passionate about Hallyu.
