Enzo Pineda’s film from five years ago to premiere in April

A barkada film titled “Game, La Union” or “GLU” is set to be released theatrically on April 24. The film, shot back in 2019 before the pandemic, features actors Enzo Pineda, David Licauco, Derrick Monasterio, Teejay Marquez, Kiko Estrada, and Ruru Madrid.

Directed by Philip King, the story revolves around a group of rich kids who embark on a trip to La Union before going their separate ways after graduation. Enzo Pineda expressed his excitement about the film’s release, noting that despite the long wait, the timing feels right as they can now be proud of their careers.

Enzo, who recently completed a romantic series on the Kapamilya Channel, is also set to star in a love story film with director Easy Ferrer alongside his girlfriend Michelle Vito. Additionally, he has been actively involved in community projects through Junior Chamber International (JCI), initiating programs such as a dental mission and contributing to the construction of a school in Davao del Norte.

Inspired by his father’s public service, Enzo remains committed to giving back to the community and using his platform in showbiz for humanitarian work. With a focus on uplifting lives through selfless service, JCI is currently seeking nominees for the Saint Teresa of Calcutta Award, recognizing individuals who have dedicated themselves to humanitarian efforts for at least 25 years.

The deadline for nominations is on July 31, with the award ceremony scheduled for October 4 at the RCBC Penthouse. Last year’s recipient of the award was children’s rights advocate Teresita Luis Silva. JCI aims to find a deserving winner who embodies the spirit of selfless service to inspire others to follow suit.
