DPWH Builds Access Road Leading to Aurora’s Abungan Falls

The Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) has recently constructed a 1.6-lane-kilometer road that now allows better access to Abungan Falls in Dingalan, Aurora.

DPWH Secretary Manuel M. Bonoan, citing a report from DPWH Regional Office 3 Director Roseller A. Tolentino, said that a total of P15.68 million was allocated to complete the access road concreting project in Barangay Ibona.

The newly-built access road enhances the tourism potential of the area by ensuring convenient travel to one of Aurora’s secluded yet most visited destinations.

The improved travel experience brought about by the road development is also expected to generate extensive benefits and impacts on the local economy of the community.

Completed in July 2022, the construction of the access road leading to Abungan Falls was undertaken by DPWH Aurora District Engineering Office (DEO).
