Biliran’s provincial capital distributes Christmas gift packs

Naval, Biliran, Philippines – The local government of Naval, the capital town of Biliran province, kicked off the holiday season by distributing Christmas gift packs to all households in the 26 barangays of the municipality on Thursday, December 7.

The distribution coincided with the opening of the Christmas by the Bay Banchetto and Paskuhan sa Munisipyo with a Candyland theme. Each gift pack included traditional “Noche Buena” (Christmas Eve repast) items such as spaghetti noodles, powdered gelatin, condensed milk, and canned goods.

The LGU urged residents to follow their barangay officials to ensure a smooth distribution process, which began in Barangays Larrazabal, Caray-Caray, Calumpang, PI Garcia, Lico, and Lucsoon. A total of 6,011 food packs have been distributed in these six barangays, with the remaining packs set to be delivered to the other barangays in the coming days.

The LGU also asked for patience from the residents as the supplier is still completing all orders. According to reports, the local government’s initiative aimed to spread holiday cheer and provide support to the community during the festive season.
