UST defeats FEU in their final game of the UAAP season

“UST snaps six-game losing skid, nips FEU” – UAAP Season 86 news

The University of Santo Tomas finally ended their six-game losing skid by securing a close win over Far Eastern University with a final score of 57-53 in the recently-concluded UAAP Season 86 men’s basketball campaign.

The Growling Tigers took control of the game and salvaged some pride with big man Christian Manaytay leading the way with 12 points and nine rebounds.

Despite the victory, UST head coach Pido Jarencio expressed disappointment in their overall season performance, finishing at the bottom of the standings for the second consecutive year with only two wins against 10 losses.

Christian Manaytay contributed to UST finishing their season on a high note, as he helped end their 20-game losing streak during the opening round of the season.

The game against FEU saw the Tigers briefly pulling away in the fourth period and ultimately securing the win, while FEU’s Jorick Bautista tried to keep them in the game with 17 points.

With this victory, UST managed to close the season with Manaytay leading the scoring effort with support from Migs Pangilinan. On the other hand, FEU finished the season with a 3-11 record, landing in the seventh spot for the second straight time.
