Angola’s Childe Dundao vows to bounce back after loss to Italy in Fiba World Cup

BOCAUE — Childe Dundao of Angola expressed his disappointment after their 81-67 loss to Italy in the opening game of the Fiba World Cup in the Philippines. Dundao, who scored 19 points in the game, said that they need to quickly recover and work hard because another game is coming up.

Despite the loss, the Angolan team showed promise and almost upset the Italian team, which is ranked 10th in the world. Dundao remains confident and focused on their next game against the Philippines. Angola will face host Gilas Pilipinas on Sunday at Smart Araneta Coliseum.

Bruno Fernando, who plays for the Atlanta Hawks, will also be an important player for Angola as they aim to bounce back in the tournament. Gilas Pilipinas will face the Dominican Republic in their first game.
