Basketball player Forthsky Padrigao has announced his departure from Ateneo University following the news that he is ineligible to play in the upcoming UAAP Season 86 due to academic deficiencies. Padrigao took to Instagram to express his farewell, stating that attending classes had become increasingly difficult for him and he can no longer represent his university as an athlete. He reflected on his time at Ateneo, admitting to both right and wrong decisions and acknowledging the difficulties he faced in recent months.
Padrigao apologized for any pain he may have caused others and expressed his desire for a second chance to prove himself. He also addressed the “malicious” stories surrounding him since Ateneo’s championship win last December. Padrigao, who had an outstanding season last year, thanked Ateneo for the opportunity to be a basketball champion and expressed his hopes to make his parents proud again. He did not reveal his plans for the future.
