In celebration of Disney’s centennial, one of the world’s largest media companies has joined forces with the esteemed luxury scooter brand Vespa to unveil a special and unique product.
The collaboration, known as the Disney Mickey Mouse Edition by Vespa, pays homage to Disney’s beloved and timeless character, Mickey Mouse, who has been the iconic mascot for decades.
For this extraordinary venture, Vespa selected the Primavera 50cc and 150cc models and adorned them with the classic black, red, white, and yellow colors synonymous with Mickey Mouse. This iconic character was originally designed by Walt Disney himself back in 1928.
The yellow wheels of the scooter represent Mickey’s distinctive shoes, while the black mirrors reflect his round ears. Additionally, the scooter showcases graphic patterns on both sides that outline the charming character.
Adding to the charm, Mickey Mouse’s signature graces the leather saddle and the front shell of the scooter.
Michele Colanino, an executive at Piaggio Global Group, expressed, “Dreams allow us to look to the future with optimism, even in complex times such as these. Claire Terry, Disney’s Senior Vice President for Consumer Products, Games, & Publishing EMEA, commented, “Just like Mickey Mouse, Vespa is a cultural icon, evoking a sense of fun and adventure. Together, they form a wonderful combination, truly extending our timeless storytelling.”
Terry added, “We are incredibly excited to bring this version of the iconic scooter to our fans in our centenary year, bringing all of Mickey’s charm and personality to road trips wherever people want to go.”
The release details for the Disney Mickey Mouse Edition by Vespa, including pricing and the number of units to be produced, are yet to be announced.
