Go emphasized the importance of remote work and freelancing in providing economic opportunities for Filipinos. He is pushing for the passage of Senate Bill No. 2107 or the proposed “Freelance Workers Protection Act” to safeguard and provide incentives for freelance workers. The bill aims to outlaw illicit practices in freelancing and mandates fair compensation and protection for workers. The Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) will be responsible for investigating potential violations of the proposed law.
