Lee Byung-hun and Kim Seon-ho triumph at 32nd Buil Film Awards with ‘Concrete Utopia’



The 32nd Buil Film Awards Celebrates Excellence in Film

On October 5th, the 32nd Buil Film Awards ceremony took place at Signiel Busan in Busan, South Korea. This prestigious event aims to honor excellence in the film industry.

One of the biggest winners of the night was the disaster film “Concrete Utopia,” which stars Lee Byung-hun, Park Seo-joon, and Park Bo-young. The movie received four awards, including the highly coveted Best Film award.

Lee Byung-hun, who delivered a stellar performance in “Concrete Utopia,” was recognized as the Best Actor. Additionally, the film won Best Cinematography, and Park Bo-young was awarded the Popular Star Award (female).

Other notable winners include Kim Seo-hyung, who won the Best Actress award for her role in “Green House.” Kim Jong-soo and Go Min-si, stars of the film “Smugglers,” received the Best Supporting Actor and Best Supporting Actress awards, respectively.

The Best New Actor award went to Kim Seon-ho, known for his role in the hit drama “Hometown Cha-Cha-Cha,” for his performance in the film “The Childe.” Meanwhile, Kim Si-eun took home the Best New Actress award for her work in “Next Sohee.”

The Buil Film Awards, which originally started in 1958 but was discontinued in 1974, was relaunched in 2008. Since then, it has become a significant event in the South Korean film industry, celebrating outstanding talent and creativity.
