Nine Injured in Three-Vehicle Collision on Maharlika Highway in Quezon

SARIAYA, Quezon – A three-vehicle collision on the Maharlika Highway in Barangay Gibanga left nine individuals injured on Friday afternoon, December 29.

According to police reports, a Manila-bound JAC Liner passenger bus driven by Crisensio, 41, of Quezon City, accidentally collided with a Tayabas City-bound Mitsubishi Elf dropside truck driven by Edwin, 45, of Barangay Isabang, Tayabas City. The impact caused the truck to pull back and run over a motorcycle driven by Raymund, 35.

The occupants of the truck, identified as Briana, Edmar, Reynaldo, Norman, and Christian, along with Raymund and bus passengers Rhealou and Minerva, sustained injuries and were taken to separate hospitals for treatment.

The incident caused traffic congestion in the area as authorities worked to clear the scene. Investigation into the cause of the accident is ongoing.
