City’s Tourism and Cultural Council receives support from Las Piñas Mayor Aguilar



Mayor Imelda Aguilar of Las Piñas City has expressed her full support for the newly established Tourism and Cultural Council (LPCTCC), which aims to study and develop the city’s cultural heritage. The council was formally introduced during its third quarterly meeting held at Las Piñas Café on September 29.

Supervising Officer Paul Ahljay San Miguel of the LPCTCC reported that the meeting, led by Mayor Aguilar, was attended by City Administrator Reynaldo Balagulan, Las Piñas City Councilor Emmanuel Luis Casimiro, Mary Anne Planas from the Department of Interior and Local Government – Las Piñas City, United Artist of Las Piñas, and the Las Piñas Heritage Guiding Association Inc.

During the meeting, the LPCTCC discussed various programs and a tourism development plan aimed at enhancing Las Piñas’ cultural heritage. San Miguel also highlighted that the meeting covered the history of Las Piñas, identified heritage markers spread throughout the city, and shared initiatives to protect, promote, and develop the city’s heritage.

The LPCTCC’s formation and the support it receives from Mayor Imelda Aguilar demonstrate the city’s commitment to preserving and celebrating its cultural heritage. With continued efforts, Las Piñas City is set to further enhance its programs and initiatives in showcasing its unique heritage to locals and visitors alike.
