Real-life couple Carlo Aquino and Charlie Dizon are set to star together in the upcoming film “Third World Romance.” The actors, who confirmed their relationship months ago, recently shared a poster of the movie on their Instagram accounts.
The poster shows Aquino holding an umbrella while Dizon looks up at the sky. The caption of the post asks, “Is it worth it to love in an obnoxious world?” The film, directed by Dwein Ruedas Baltazar, also features Ana Abad Santos, Gardo Versoza, Archi Adamos, Iyah Mina, Esnyr Ranollo, Xilhouete, Brian Black, Lady Morgana, Junjun Quintana, and Donna Cariaga. It is set to premiere in theaters on August 16, although details about the plot have not been revealed yet. Ranollo, actress Elise Joson, filmmaker Antoinette Jadaone, and film producer expressed their excitement for the project in the comments section of Dizon’s post.
Aquino and Dizon confirmed their relationship earlier this year, stating that they spent New Year’s together with Aquino’s family in La Union. Aquino was previously in a relationship with model-vlogger Trina Candaza and they have a daughter named Mithi. The couple sparked dating rumors after they were spotted getting cozy at a holiday dinner in December.
