In preparation for the upcoming Barangay and Sangguniang Kabataan Elections (BSKE) in Parañaque City, candidates participated in a significant event at the local office of the Commission on Elections (Comelec) on Friday, September 22. This event symbolized their commitment to a peaceful and orderly campaign and election period.

Held at the Parañaque City Sports Complex in Barangay San Antonio, the signing ceremony was attended by candidates from the city’s 16 barangays in District 1 and 2. Comelec officials, including District 1 election officer Atty. Nesrin Cali and District 2 election officer Atty. Mario Vernar Esguerra, organized the program to ensure the successful conduct of the BSKE.

During the event, Comelec also conducted an orientation and briefing session with the candidates, providing them with important information and guidelines to adhere to throughout the campaign and election process.

Emphasizing the importance of maintaining peace and order, Parañaque City Police Chief Col. Reycon L. Garduque joined the activity to show his support.

The signing of the peace covenant highlights the candidates’ dedication to promoting a peaceful and fair election, as they strive to represent their respective barangays effectively.

With this significant event, the candidates of Parañaque City demonstrate their commitment to upholding democratic principles and fostering a harmonious electoral environment.
