Can the Mutya ng Pilipinas pageant maintain its winning streak in Miss Tourism International and Miss Intercontinental contests?

Mutya ng Pilipinas Continues Winning Streak on International Stage

The Mutya ng Pilipinas pageant has achieved great success this year, with two international crowns already under its belt. The organization is now setting its sights on two more competitions in the final quarter of the year, aiming to extend their winning streak.

Annie Uson, the first Mutya queen to represent the Philippines globally this year, created history by becoming the first Filipino woman to win the Miss Chinese International crown in Malaysia in May. Following her success, Shannon Robinson, the 2022 Mutya ng Pilipinas-Luzon, brought home the country’s first victory in the Miss Environment International pageant held in India in June.

The next contestant to compete is Jeanette Reyes, who will participate in the 26th Miss Tourism International pageant. The organization recently launched the 2023 competition and announced that Sabah, Malaysia, will host the event in November. The Philippines has a strong track record in the Miss Tourism International pageant, having secured five victories thus far. The upcoming competition will see Reyes strive to maintain the country’s dominance and secure a sixth win.

Furthermore, Mutya ng Pilipinas winner Iona Gibbs will be representing the Philippines in Egypt as she vies for the Miss Intercontinental crown. The 51st edition of the pageant is scheduled for December, with Gibbs becoming the third Filipino contestant to aim for victory. The organization had actively sought out a suitable international competition for Gibbs after she won her Mutya title last year.

The Mutya ng Pilipinas organization expressed its ambitions to achieve a “five-for-five” success this year, with all five delegates securing victories in their respective competitions. Alongside Uson, Robinson, and Gibbs, Arianna Kyla Padrid will also be participating in the World Top Model contest, with the date and venue yet to be announced.

The national organization has also opened applications for the 2023 Mutya ng Pilipinas competition, inviting aspiring contestants to visit their official social media pages for more information. The Philippines continues to make its mark on the global stage, showcasing the beauty and talent of its representatives in various international pageants.
