Kapamilya star Robi Domingo and his non-showbiz girlfriend Maiqui Pineda, who is battling a rare autoimmune disease, tied the knot during a solemn church ceremony at the Diocesan Shrine and Parish of San Isidro Labrador in Bulacan on Jan. 6 at 3 p.m. Despite Maiqui’s health condition, the couple pushed through with the wedding as scheduled after announcing their plans to marry in August 2023.
The official wedding photos were released on Sunday, Jan. 7, by Jaja Samaniego, the same photographer who captured shots of Maine Mendoza and Arjo Atayde’s wedding in Baguio City last July 28, 2023.
In a heartwarming moment, Maiqui told Robi: “Don’t. Give me something to hope for.” Her strength and determination to marry Robi despite her health struggles are an inspiration to many.
Among the star-studded principal sponsors who attended the event were ABS-CBN CEO and President Carlo Katigbak, ABS-CBN COO for Broadcast Cory Vidanes, Star Magic head Laurenti Dyogi, Ogie and Regine Velasquez-Alcasid, Piolo Pascual, Vicki Belo, and former Vice President Leni Robredo, according to ABS-CBN News.
