Antique bus crash victims receive P10,000 aid from Party-list



Medical Assistance Released to Families of Bus Crash Victims in Antique

AnaKalusugan Party-list Rep. Ray Reyas has confirmed the release of medical assistance to the families of the 18 fatalities and 11 wounded passengers of the recent bus crash in Hamtic, Antique. Each family received P10,000 in assistance.

The accident occurred when bus No.6289, carrying over 50 passengers, experienced a brake system malfunction and fell into a ravine while traveling from Iloilo City to Culasi town in Antique on Dec. 5.

The injured passengers were treated at the Angel Salazar Memorial General Hospital (ASMGH) in San Jose de Buenavista, Antique, as well as the Western Visayas Medical Center (WVMC) and Iloilo Mission Hospital.

In response to the accident, Reyes expressed condolences to the families and assured them of AnaKalusugan’s support in holding those responsible accountable. He also thanked former Valderrama town mayor Ray Roquero for his coordination efforts with AnaKalusugan.

The release of medical assistance comes as a small relief to the families affected by the tragic bus crash in Antique.
