The boys of Cup of Joe (COJ) are taking advantage of their summer break to relax and enjoy their newfound status as pop stars. Their recent release, Misteryoso, showcases a sense of serenity and contentment in their music, particularly in the love song composed by co-lead vocalist Gian Bernardino.
Misteryoso serves as a breather between their previous hits, Tingin and Wag Na Lang, highlighting the band’s versatility. Tingin, a collaboration with Janine Tenoso, has become COJ’s biggest seller with 200 million streams. Meanwhile, the rocking love song Wag Na Lang adds a fun and tongue-in-cheek element to their repertoire.
The band’s EP, Patutunguhan, released a year ago, offers a mix of different styles that showcase Cup of Joe’s range and talent. With each song presenting a unique aspect of the band, they continue to keep their fans, known as Jowahs, guessing about what their next single will be.
The members of Cup of Joe include Raphael Ridao, CJ Fernandez and Gab Fernandez on guitars, Xen Gareza on keyboards, and Raphael Severino as the bassist and co-producers of Misteryoso.
