Video: Janella Salvador reminisces about performing at Jenine Desiderio’s performances

Actress-singer Janella Salvador is preparing for her delayed anniversary concert, “Janella Reimagined,” marking her ten years in the entertainment industry. The concert, scheduled for April 19, will showcase a more authentic side of Janella as she expresses her love for music, with a new album on the way.

During a media conference held at the Dolphy Theater in the ABS-CBN compound, Janella shared key moments that led her to stage this concert. She mentioned accompanying her mother, singer-actress Jenine Desiderio, to gigs and concerts in her younger years, where she would be nervous but pushed to sing by her mother’s encouragement.

Another pivotal moment for Janella was the success of her 2014 song “Mahal Kita Pero,” recorded for “Himig Handog” that year. This unexpected success propelled her forward in her music career. The creation of her upcoming album was also a significant factor in setting up the “Janella Reimagined” concert, as she gained more confidence in expressing herself through her music.

The upcoming album, featuring her latest single “Headtone,” explores R&B, jazz, and chill music, reflecting Janella’s musical evolution. Joining her at the anniversary concert are artists such as Martin Nievera, Darren Espanto, Jane de Leon, Mario Mortel, and drag queens Arizona Brandy, Brigiding, Lady Morgana, and M1ss Jade So.

Janella’s concert promises to be a celebration of her growth and talent in the music industry, as she looks forward to sharing her new music with her fans.
