Upcoming Increase in Fuel Prices Scheduled for Tuesday, August 22



Gasoline, Diesel, and Kerosene Prices to Rise Again

Manila, Philippines — Several oil companies announced on Monday that gasoline, diesel, and kerosene prices will increase on Tuesday, August 22.

Petron Corp., Seaoil Philippines Inc., and Cleanfuel will implement a price hike of P0.20 per liter for diesel and P1.10 per liter for gasoline. Petron and Seaoil will also increase the price of kerosene by P0.70 per liter.

The price increases will take effect at 6:00 a.m. on Tuesday for Petron and Seaoil, and at 4:01 p.m. for Cleanfuel.

This will mark the seventh consecutive increase in petroleum product prices, following a fuel price hike imposed just a week ago. The Department of Energy has previously warned that prices are likely to continue rising over the next two months.
