A significant event took place at the National Capital Region Police Office (NCRPO) as they held a momentous turnover of command ceremony. The outgoing NCRPO Regional Director, PMGen Edgar Alan O Okubo, handed over the reins to the incoming NCRPO Regional Director, PBGen Jose Melencio Nartatez Jr. The ceremony, held at NCRPO Hinirang Multi-Purpose Hall in Camp Bagong Diwa, Bicutan, Taguig City, marked a new chapter in the history of the NCRPO.
Leading the ceremony, Chief of the Philippine National Police (CPNP), PGen Benjamin C Acorda Jr, expressed deep gratitude to PMGen Okubo for his unwavering commitment, dedication, and exceptional leadership during his tenure as the NCRPO Regional Director. Under his guidance, the NCRPO made remarkable strides in maintaining peace and order, ensuring community safety, and combating crime in the bustling metropolis.

“As we bid farewell to PMGen Okubo, let us not forget the valuable lessons he taught us. The CPNP then warmly welcomed the incoming NCRPO Regional Director, PBGen Police Jose Melencio Nartatez Jr., congratulating him on his appointment and assuring him of full support. He expressed confidence in Director Nartatez’s ability to lead the NCRPO with distinction, urging him to continue fostering a culture of loyalty, unity, and selflessness within the organization.
