In an unprecedented achievement, K-pop superstar and BTS member Jungkook has broken a new record on the music streaming service Spotify. His single “Seven (feat. Latto)” has been officially declared as the fastest song to reach one billion streams on the platform.

Spotify made the announcement on October 31, stating, “On October 30, Jungkook’s ‘Seven (feat. It debuted at No. 1 on the coveted Billboard Hot 100 chart and remained at the top spot on the Billboard Global 200 and Billboard Global Excl. US charts for several weeks.

This isn’t the first time Jungkook has broken records on Spotify. Last August, his track “Seven” garnered immense success, securing the title of “the most streamed track on Spotify in one week (male) with 89,748,171 streams,” according to Guinness World Records. Furthermore, on the day of its release, “Seven” logged an impressive 15,995,378 plays, making it the second most streamed track on Spotify in 24 hours by a male vocalist.

The success of “Seven” has been astronomical, with the song becoming the fastest music track to reach 100 million streams on Spotify (male). It achieved this milestone by amassing 100 million filtered streams on Spotify by July 21, 2023, just eight days after its worldwide release on July 14. These achievements highlight Jungkook’s popularity and his ability to captivate audiences worldwide.

In addition to his record-breaking success, Jungkook is set to release his highly anticipated studio album, “Golden,” on November 3. Fans are eagerly awaiting its arrival and are confident that the album will continue to showcase Jungkook’s talent and cement his status as a global music icon.
