Parañaque City Holds City Employees Quiz Bee in Celebration of Civil Service Commission’s 123rd Anniversary

The Parañaque City government organized a “City Employees Quiz Bee” on Wednesday, September 6, as part of the commemoration of the 123rd anniversary of the Civil Service Commission (CSC). The event aimed to refresh the knowledge of government employees regarding policies and public service.

Mayor Eric Olivarez expressed his delight as a total of 29 teams, consisting of 89 government employees, participated in the quiz bee at the Fisherman’s Wharf in Barangay La Huerta. The anniversary celebration, themed “Transforming Public Service in the Next: Honing Agile and Future-Ready Servant-Heroes,” aimed to engage the employees in enhancing their understanding of government regulations and public service principles.

Following the quiz bee, a brief ceremony was held to recognize the winning teams. The Traffic and Parking Management Office (TPMO) emerged as the champion, while the Office of the City Accountant (OCA) secured the first place. The Office of the City Social Welfare and Development Department (OCSWD) earned the second place, and the team from the Office of Councilor Pablo “Paolo” Olivarez secured the third place.

The success of the employees’ quiz bee was made possible by the collaboration of the Human Resource Management Office (HRMO), supervised by Ramil Santillan, and the CSC – National Capital Region Field Office, headed by Director Laura Mangorangca. Their coordination ensured the smooth organization and execution of the event.

This initiative by the Parañaque City government highlights their commitment to furthering the knowledge and skills of their employees, ultimately serving the public more effectively.
