PLDT and Chery face off in a pivotal match

The PLDT High Speed Hitters are proving to be a strong force in the Premier Volleyball League All-Filipino Conference despite missing key players Mika Reyes and Kianna Dy. With a second-best record and a shot at the top spot, the team is set to face off against Chery Tiggo in a crucial game today at the PhilSports Arena.

Coach Rald Ricafort praised the core’s maturity, highlighting the team’s impressive performance so far. Both PLDT and Chery Tiggo are on hot streaks, with the High Speed Hitters winning five consecutive games to hold a 7-1 record, and the Crossovers on a four-game winning streak with a 6-2 standing.

A victory for PLDT would tie them with Choco Mucho for the top spot at 8-1, while a win for Chery Tiggo would elevate them to joint second place with Creamline at 7-2.

Despite missing Reyes and Dy, players like Kim Fajardo and Keisha Bedonia have stepped up to fill the void and create a competitive team. Ricafort emphasized that the team remains in high spirits despite the challenges brought by the injuries.
