In an unexpected turn of events, Barbie has become one of the most eagerly anticipated franchises of 2023. Fans are eagerly awaiting Greta Gerwig’s unique adaptation of the iconic doll. And now, Microsoft has a surprise for all the Barbie enthusiasts out there—a Barbie-themed Xbox Series S.
Designed with the franchise’s signature pink aesthetic, this special edition Xbox Series S is the perfect addition to any Barbie DreamHouse-themed gaming setup. Alongside its pink and white color scheme, the console proudly displays a prominent Barbie logo on its side.
To complement the console, Microsoft is also launching a collection of wireless controller faceplates featuring the bubbly style of the upcoming Barbie movie.
Unfortunately, the Barbie-themed console is a limited edition item. There is only one of its kind, and it is not available for purchase. Instead, Microsoft will be giving away this exclusive console and the faceplates through Xbox’s Twitter and Microsoft Rewards, starting on July 10.
On a positive note, Microsoft is also giving away ten Barbie dolls dressed in Xbox-themed merchandise. The lineup of dolls will include individuals from diverse backgrounds, representing various races and disabilities.
Furthermore, fans of the Forza Horizon 5 game will have the opportunity to drive virtual versions of the film’s anticipated vehicles, the 1956 Chevrolet Corvette EV Corvette and the 2022 GMC Hummer EV Pickup, which will be driven by Ryan Gosling’s character, Ken. Players can obtain these vehicles through the game’s Message Center.
Barbie will be released internationally on July 19, 2023, bringing joy to fans worldwide.
