Lady Tams dominate Lady Falcons, snapping 2-game losing streak



The Far Eastern University Lady Tamaraws bounced back from a two-game losing streak with a decisive victory over the Adamson Lady Falcons in the UAAP Season 86 women’s volleyball tournament. The Lady Tamaraws dominated the match with a 25-13, 25-22, 25-17 win at the Mall of Asia Arena in Pasay City.

Leading the charge for FEU was Faida Bakanke, who scored a game-high 14 points including 13 attacks and a block. Gerzel Petallo and Chenie Tagaod also contributed to the win with 12 points each.

After a closely contested second set, FEU took control in the third set, establishing a 17-10 lead late in the game. Despite Adamson’s attempts to stage a comeback, FEU maintained the lead and secured the victory with back-to-back points.

The Lady Tamaraws showcased a strong offensive game, scoring 50 points on attacks compared to Adamson’s 30 points. Ayesha Juegos was the lone double-digit scorer for Adamson with 10 points, while Mayang Nuique and Ishie Lalongisip added nine and eight points, respectively.

With this win, FEU improved their record to 3-3 in the season, securing the fourth spot, while Adamson dropped to 2-3. Adamson will look to bounce back against Ateneo in their next game on Wednesday, March 13, while FEU will face the Blue Eagles on Sunday, March 17, in their final first-round match.
