Speculation arose among eagle-eyed netizens as they observed that KC Concepcion, a prominent Philippine actress and television host, seemed to have unfollowed her stepfather Kiko Pangilinan and her sister Frankie Pangilinan on Instagram. As of Saturday, Aug. 26, Kiko and Frankie are no longer on KC’s Instagram following list. In a similar vein, Kiko and Frankie also appear to have unfollowed KC since her name does not appear on their following lists as well.
Further fueling the rumor, it seems that KC has also removed her Instagram posts dedicated to Kiko. This includes her previous greetings for him on Father’s Day in June and on his birthday last August, which have been deleted. In her now-deleted post for Father’s Day, she expressed, “Happy Father’s Day dad, [Kiko Pangilinan]! Thank you for being present in so many of my milestones in life since you came into my world and married mom. I still wear the pearl necklace you gave me on your wedding day as a reminder of your love.”
Although the reasons behind KC’s apparent unfollowing and deletion of posts remain unclear, it is worth noting that Kiko recently celebrated his 60th birthday on Thursday, Aug. 24. The occasion was marked by an intimate dinner with his wife Sharon Cuneta and their children Frankie, Miel, and Miguel. Just last April, Kiko and KC were seen spending time together after the former senator, along with Miel and Miguel, surprised KC with a small celebration for her 38th birthday. Kiko wrote a heartfelt birthday message to KC, praying for her safety, good health, and protection while expressing his love for her.
As of now, there has been no official statement from KC or Kiko regarding the Instagram unfollowing issue. Fans and netizens are left speculating on the reasons behind their actions.
