Jordan Clarkson leads the ‘Nothing Else Matters’ campaign for Gilas in Fiba World Cup

Ace Jordan Clarkson of Gilas Pilipinas, Slovenian superstar Luka Doncic, and Japanese standout Yuta Watanabe are the focus of Fiba World Cup’s “Nothing Else Matters” global campaign. The 30-second video serves as a teaser for the upcoming global showcase, set to begin on August 25 in the Philippines, Japan, and Indonesia. The campaign also features China’s anchor Zhou Qi.

According to Fiba, each player was shot in iconic locations associated with their respective paths. Doncic was filmed in Ljubljana, Clarkson in San Antonio, Watanabe in Miyazaki, and Qi in Qingdao City. State-of-the-art filming techniques and computer-generated imagery were used to create a smooth transition for each player from their personal leisure time to the intensity of the Fiba Basketball World Cup 2023.

Clarkson, who is participating in his third stint with Gilas, will lead the Philippines in Group A, alongside Italy, Dominican Republic, and Angola. Slovenia, led by Doncic, will compete in Group F against Cape Verde, Venezuela, and Georgia. Co-host Japan is in Group E with Germany, Finland, and Australia. China, the previous World Cup host in 2019, will face off against Serbia, Puerto Rico, and South Sudan in Group B. The United States, composed of rising NBA stars, is the early favorite to win the championship.

Giannis Antetokounmpo, the two-time NBA MVP, will not be participating in the World Cup due to health issues.
