DPWH Completes New Bagsakan Center to Boost Local Trade in Dipaculao, Aurora

The construction of a multi-purpose building (MPB) in the Municipality of Dipaculao, Aurora Province has been successfully finished by the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH). This newly established MPB now serves as a Bagsakan Center, providing a trading hub for local products.

DPWH Regional Office 3 Director Roseller A. Tolentino reported to DPWH Secretary Manuel M. Bonoan that the one-story MPB, spanning 800 square meters in Barangay Lipit, caters specifically to the needs of the local agricultural community. Farmers and vendors can now utilize this facility to trade fruits, vegetables, and other agricultural produce.

Director Tolentino mentioned that the Bagsakan Center is equipped with designated loading and unloading areas, ample storage space, and 32 indoor and outdoor solar lights to ensure sufficient and sustainable lighting.

To enhance security and convenience for all users, the MPB project also includes the provision of a closed-circuit television (CCTV) camera, amplified sound systems, and a standby generator.

Implemented by the DPWH Aurora District Engineering Office (DEO), the Bagsakan Center was completed at a total cost of P19.6 million, sourced from the General Appropriations Act (GAA) of 2022.
