Catriona Gray, the 2018 Miss Universe winner, recently shared her love for road trips and driving in an exclusive interview. Growing up in Australia, Gray enjoyed going on long, scenic drives with her parents. However, when she moved to the Philippines a couple of years ago, she had to rely on taxis and ride-hailing apps due to not having her own car.
Gray expressed the relief she felt when she finally got her own car, describing it as an extension of her home where she could rest during her busy schedule filled with multiple events in a day. Despite her job requiring frequent travel, Gray still finds joy in driving, especially when going on day trips and out-of-town staycations to escape the city.
Batad in Ifugao province is a top destination on Gray’s bucket list, as she hopes to make the scenic drive with friends to show them the beauty of the place she has been raving about for a long time. Gray is currently collaborating with Sailun Tire, an international tire supplier, alongside actor Alden Richards.
Reflecting on their recent campaign shoot, Gray praised Richards for being a professional and easy to work with. However, she shared a funny mishap during the shoot when she almost slipped off the hood of the car due to her slippery pants. When asked about future collaborations with Richards, Gray expressed openness to any opportunities that may come their way.
