Angkas extends scholarship to viral student rider-engineer

MANILA, Philippines – Angkas, a motorcycle taxi firm dedicated to promoting safe motorcycle riding, has shown its support for education by offering financial assistance to a viral engineering student who also works as an Angkas rider to support his studies.

In a recent meeting between Angkas CEO George Royeca and the student, JV Ambrosio, Royeca praised Ambrosio’s dedication and pledged to help cover his tuition for the remaining semesters of his Electrical Engineering degree at the University of the East.

Ambrosio, who manages a busy academic schedule with 31 units, starts his day early at 7:00 a.m. for his classes. Despite the challenges of balancing his studies and work as an Angkas rider, Ambrosio remains determined to succeed and achieve his goals.

With aspirations to top the Electrical Engineers Licensure Examination and develop electric vehicles in the future, Ambrosio expressed his gratitude to Angkas for recognizing his efforts and empowering him to fund his education with pride and dignity. He also revealed his interest in interning at Angkas during the summer and hopes to become an Angkas engineer one day.

Royeca praised Ambrosio for his hard work and dedication, stating that his determination to excel is a testament to Angkas’ mission of uplifting lives and helping individuals help themselves. Ambrosio, in turn, thanked Angkas for the opportunities and experiences that have allowed him to grow and achieve things he never thought possible.
