Andi Eigenmann’s Mother Jaclyn Jose Passes Away from Heart Attack
Andi Eigenmann confirmed the heartbreaking news of her mother’s passing due to a heart attack. Jaclyn Jose, also known as Mary Jane Guck, died at the age of 60 on March 2, 2024. Eigenmann, accompanied by her brother Gabby, tearfully announced the news at a press conference a day after her mother’s death was discovered.
“We’d like to thank everyone who has since extended their prayers and condolences to us,” Eigenmann said. She also requested the public to refrain from speculating about Jose’s death and give the family space to grieve.
The veteran actress, who was the first Filipina to win Best Actress at the 2016 Cannes Film Festival, was found lifeless in her home in Quezon City. The police found no signs of foul play during the investigation.
Eigenmann, who is now a businesswoman based in Siargao, emphasized that her mother’s legacy will continue through her work and the lives she has touched. The family has not yet disclosed funeral plans or whether it will be open to public viewing.
