Luis Manzano recently shared a throwback photo on Instagram, reminiscing about his time as a video jock (VJ) on MYX Philippines. The photo featured Manzano alongside other former VJs from the music channel, including Chino Lui Pio, Nikki Gil, Robi Domingo, Bianca Brander, Ai Dela Cruz, Iya Villania, and Heart Evangelista.
In the caption, Manzano asked if his followers remembered watching them introduce music videos on MYX. The post garnered responses from Manzano’s co-celebrities, Karylle and Tim Yap, with Karylle expressing excitement for more music content from Manzano and friends, and Yap calling it a “MYX VJ reunion.”
Fans also took a trip down memory lane, sharing nostalgic stories of watching MYX in the 2000s. Some recalled how they couldn’t leave until they knew the top 1 music video, while others joked about their age now being old enough to get married after watching the former VJs on MYX.
In 2022, the former VJs, including Manzano, Villania, and Gil, reunited in a TikTok video they shared online. Manzano concluded his post by thanking fans for their support throughout his MYX VJ career, which lasted from 2003 to 2013.
