Alden Richards cautions the public to fact-check before believing ‘fake’ quotes about Daniel Padilla and Kathryn Bernardo

Alden Richards Warns Public About Fake News on Social Media

Kapuso star Alden Richards recently cautioned the public about the prevalence of fake news on social media platforms. In an interview with “24 Oras,” Alden emphasized the importance of being discerning about the information being shared online.

He specifically mentioned fake quote cards circulating about him supposedly making derogatory comments about ex-couple Kathryn Bernardo and Daniel Padilla. Alden clarified that he would never engage in such behavior, saying, “I have no right to judge someone mentioned in those fake tweets. Let’s be cautious about fake news because social media is a breeding ground for misinformation.”

Alden urged the public to verify information before believing and sharing it on social media. He advised, “Unless the official accounts of artists have posted the tweets that are supposedly spreading, let’s not immediately believe them. Let’s fact-check first before passing judgment.”

It is worth noting that Kathryn and Alden recently received recognition as the Box Office Queen and King at the 2024 Box Office Entertainment Awards. Kathryn was honored for her performance in “A Very Good Girl” with Dolly de Leon, while Alden received the accolade for his work in “Five Breakups and A Romance” alongside Kathryn’s friend, Julia Montes.
