Veteran actor Robert Arevalo, known for his critically-acclaimed performances, passed away on Thursday, August 10. He was 85 years old. The sad news was announced by his eldest child, Anna Ylagan, through a Facebook post. Arevalo, whose real name is Robert Francisco Ylagan, peacefully passed away at 10:17 A.M. “Praise God for His mercy and grace,” Ylagan wrote in her post. She expressed gratitude for having the best father and thanked him for his love and support.
Despite the broken hearts, the family finds comfort in God’s promise of reunion in His heavenly kingdom. Arevalo’s wake is scheduled for the weekend, following his cremation, on August 12 and 13 at Solace Rooms 1 and 2 of the Arlington Memorial Chapels & Crematory in Quezon City. The family expressed their gratitude for the outpouring of love and sympathy they have received. Arevalo is known for his roles in films like “Ang Larawan” and “The Healing.” He and his wife were about to celebrate their 61st wedding anniversary on August 11.
